Till Adam, a well-known TV personality from shows like “Bauer sucht Frau”, “Love Island” and “The Bachelorette”, has recently opened up about his struggles with an autoimmune disease. Despite being a regular on Instagram, Adam had been quiet on social media lately, but now he has explained to his 64,000 followers why that was.
In his first post of 2023, Adam shared that he had “not had a great start to the new year” and has been “eternally ill”. The post shows him lying in a hospital bed with a cannula. In an interview with “TZ”, the TV actor revealed that he has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that is incurable.
While Adam did not specify which autoimmune disease he has, it is a condition where the immune system attacks the body’s own cells or organs, mistaking them as foreign substances. This causes the body to attack itself, leading to a range of symptoms and health issues. Common autoimmune diseases include type I diabetes, Crohn’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
Adam is now taking medication to support the function of his immune system, and he hopes that by sharing his story, he can raise awareness of autoimmune diseases and show that anyone can be affected by them. Despite the challenges he is facing, Adam remains positive and determined to continue living his life to the fullest.
