Apple’s New Security Measures in Action: A Webinar

Webinar: Apple's new security features in action

With security becoming an increasingly important issue for both companies and end users, Apple is continuously expanding the protective functions of its operating systems. In fact, iOS 16 and macOS 13 come with a long list of security innovations, from end-to-end encryption for iCloud to support for passkeys as a replacement for classic passwords.

To help system and network administrators, as well as IT managers in companies, better understand and utilize these security functions, technical author and mobile device specialist Mark Zimmerman will be hosting a webinar titled “New Security Functions from Apple.”

The webinar will cover a range of topics, including how websites and apps can be secured with passkeys, how the block mode (lockdown mode) and the extended data protection of iCloud works in corporate use, and how to secure Apple ID and iMessage conversations.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and see live demos during the 120-minute live webinar, which will take place on May 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mac & i editor Inge Schwabe will be moderating the event.

While tickets cost 116.10 euros for early bookers, attendees who sign up for the new Mac & i Pro subscription for admins and developers can participate in this and other webinars for free. With a total of 24 webinars per year, the subscription is an excellent opportunity for those looking to stay up-to-date on security functions and other tech-related topics.
