Angola qualifies for Paris 2024 Olympics

With less than a year to go until the 2024 Olympics in Paris, we are starting to get a clearer picture of the teams that have already qualified for the Olympic tournaments. However, we will have to wait until May 2024 and the famous TQO (Qualification Tournaments) to have the final list of the 12 nations, both male and female, qualified for the Olympics.

Nevertheless, we already know the first African women’s team qualified for Paris 2024, with Angola winning the African tournament over the weekend by defeating Cameroon, Congo, and Senegal, which includes former French internationals Claudine Mendy and Gnonsiane Niombla.

Cameroon, finishing in second place, has secured its spot for one of the three Olympic qualification tournaments organized by the IHF in May next year.
