“There is the raw side of the street, especially in New York, where you see the architecture, the atmosphere, the parties of that time, in this style we now call vintage, it’s a journey through time,” appreciates Little Shao, who spent hours sorting through thousands of photos. “Today, I want to highlight more the physical performance of the athletes, the technicality, while with Martha (Cooper) and Sophie (Bramly), there is a true documentary aspect. Even if the photos are blurry, it doesn’t matter, it’s great because you captured the overall atmosphere. It’s like a painting. But it’s great because the two complement each other, it tells the story of our culture.”
