An Aggressive Controller at Brest Train Station: TGV to Paris Cancelled

It was around 7:10 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, when a SNCF controller in his forties was attacked by an individual on the platforms of Brest train station. The attacker, in his twenties and visibly intoxicated, grabbed the agent’s cap, pushed him, and made him fall onto the tracks. In a state of shock, the controller was taken care of by the SNCF teams.
Several dozen passengers on the platform were witnessing the incident.

The controller was supposed to be on duty on the TGV Inoui train bound for Paris, scheduled to depart at 7:19 pm. As a result of the attack, the train could not leave and had to be canceled, leaving several dozen passengers stranded on the platforms. However, the SNCF had arranged for them to be accommodated for the night in Brest until the next TGV departure to the capital at 5:19 am on Wednesday.

The TER train bound for Rennes was also affected. Initially scheduled to depart at 7:36 pm, it eventually left Brest at 8:10 pm.
