Amazon’s Luna Cloud Service Launches in Germany, Allowing for Game Streaming on Various Devices

Amazon has announced that its cloud gaming service, Luna, is now available in Germany. Users can stream games on a range of devices, including Fire TVs, iPhones, iPads, Windows PCs, and Macs, as well as Android smartphones and tablets. The service has been available in the US for over a year, and prime members receive access to a selection of games at no additional cost.

Subscription Plans and Available Games

Amazon has offered three different subscription plans for its game library. Luna+ provides access to a list of titles, such as Beach Buggy Racing 2: Hot Wheels Edition, Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and “Resident Evil 2,” for €10 per month. Ubisoft+ Multi Access offers AAA titles from popular series like “Assassin’s Creed,” “Watch Dogs,” “Tom Clancy,” or “Far Cry” for €18 per month. Finally, Jackbox Games’ subscription, exclusive to Luna, offers titles like “Quiplash,” “Trivia Murder Party,” and “Drawful” for €5 per month.

Linking Ubisoft Connect and Luna

Prime members with a Ubisoft Connect account can link it to Luna to play select Ubisoft PC games they already own directly on their Fire TV or other supported devices.

Controller Options

A free app can turn a user’s iPhone or Android smartphone into a controller to play on Luna. Additionally, there is a Luna controller designed to connect directly to the cloud via WiFi to minimize latency, although a Bluetooth connection is also an option. The Luna controller costs €70.
