Eintracht Frankfurt: Alex Meier becomes the new U16 coach

Alex Meier, former striker of Eintracht, is now training to become a coach. After scoring 137 goals in 379 competitive games, Meier is taking on a new challenge by coaching the U16s of the club. The football god, as he is known in Frankfurt, is now following in the footsteps of Messi.

Since the start of the season, Meier has been supporting the new U21s as an assistant coach. The team is aiming for promotion as leaders in the Hessenliga, while head coach Kristijan Glibo will remain in the regional league. Meier is continuing to study for his licenses as a coach with the DFB.

Meier worked in the youth sector after his last professional position in Sydney, Australia, as an assistant coach from the U15 to the U17 to the U19. With his experience, Meier is now taking the next step in his coaching career. As an Eintracht brand ambassador, Meier is dedicated to helping the club’s youth teams reach their full potential.
