After Mbappé, Griezmann, Giroud… Payet also a candidate with the Blues

Dimitri Payet is now in Brazil since his departure from OM and he does not hide his ambition to play in the Paris Olympics this summer with the French national football team. He is currently playing for Vasco de Gama in Brazil.

He joins a long list of candidates vying for a spot in the Paris Olympics. Players like Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann, and Olivier Giroud have already expressed their interest. Payet, with 38 international caps for France, also wants to be a part of it.

Having experienced playing in an Euro for his country in 2016, Payet is excited about the prospect of playing in the Olympics. However, there is a limit for players over 23 years old, with only three spots available in the team. Payet falls into this category, adding to the competition.

Thierry Henry, the coach of the French youth team, will have to make tough decisions and disappoint some players when selecting the final squad for the Olympics. The competition for spots in both the Olympics and Euro is intense, with FFF prioritizing the Euro.

Payet remains open to playing for any French team and trusts that Henry will make the right choices when selecting the players for the upcoming tournaments.
