After being hospitalized for septic shock, actress and singer Ashley Park, known for her role as Mindy Chen in Emily in Paris, has given reassuring updates on her health.

The filming of Season 4 of the hit Netflix show began in mid-January in Paris, and the actress announced that she has been “medically cleared” to take a flight to finish her recovery in the French capital before returning to set.

“I was medically cleared to take the plane after responding well to treatments, and I am now recovering and resting in Paris where I have been incredibly warmly welcomed by my friends and Emily in Paris family,” she said in an Instagram post accompanied by photos of her recovery.

“I promise to rest and take care of myself as much as possible to recover quickly.”

On January 19, Ashley Park revealed that she had been hospitalized during her year-end vacation in the Maldives due to a serious illness. According to the actress, who battled cancer during her adolescence, what started as a throat infection “turned into a serious septic shock that infected and affected several of my organs.”

On Instagram, the actress, recently seen in the third season of Only Murders in the Building and the film Mean Girls, expressed her deep appreciation for the messages of support she has received since announcing her hospitalization.

“I am deeply moved and grateful for your beautiful messages of support and comfort, your personal stories of sepsis and hospitalization, and sincerely to all the people who reached out with love,” she said.

“Every message has truly encouraged me towards a quick and hopeful recovery,” the actress continued.

Several stars, including her co-star Lily Collins, as well as Selena Gomez, Donatella Versace, Paris Hilton, Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Gemma Chan, and Alexandra Daddario, have also shown their support.
