16,000 People Protested in Paris

16,000 people gathered in Paris to protest against the immigration law. The law was adopted at the National Assembly with votes from the National Rally, and it is still awaiting approval by the Constitutional Council.

On the same day, dozens of individuals and personalities heeded the call to protest the immigration law throughout France. In Paris, the opponents of the law gathered at the Trocadéro square in the early afternoon. Civilians, political and union leaders joined together to condemn the ideological victory of the extreme right. They emphasized the need for equal pay for equal work and highlighted the importance of all individuals, regardless of their origin or skin color, to the country.

In total, 160 demonstrations were organized across France, with 16,000 people voicing their disagreement with the immigration law in Paris. They called for an end to the double standards on the issue.
