Angelina Jolie was recently in Paris for work as she is participating in the filming of the movie “Maria”, dedicated to the life of Maria Callas. Several scenes are currently being filmed in the capital. For the occasion, the actress was disguised to resemble the Greek singer who died in Paris on September 16, 1977 at the age of 53. With large glasses, a hat or scarf, and graying hair, the 48-year-old actress was unrecognizable.
The film shoot took place mainly at Place Vendôme (1st arrondissement). On Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13, several roads in the center of Paris were closed to traffic or parking. Angelina Jolie filmed some scenes at Trocadéro, in front of the Eiffel Tower, and on the Alexandre III bridge.
The biopic, which started filming in early October and will last for eight weeks, will be released in 2024. It also takes place in Greece, Budapest, and Milan, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Maria Callas lived in the 16th arrondissement at 44 avenue Foch before moving to 36 avenue Georges-Mandel in the 8th arrondissement.
