Study on Sewage Water by CNRS, Residents Encouraged to Eat More Fruits and Vegetables

Jérémy Jacob, a researcher at CNRS, will be the guest on Bonsoir l’Île-de-France on Monday, March 11, 2024. He is leading the project titled “Égouts”, which involves collecting material from the sewage in the 20th arrondissement for a week, while residents are encouraged to increase their consumption of fruits and vegetables.

The project aims to analyze the impact of dietary choices on the composition of sewage and potentially identify trends in the population’s eating habits. By studying the nutrients and compounds present in the wastewater, researchers hope to gain insights into public health and environmental issues.

Jacob’s research is part of a larger effort to promote sustainable and healthy lifestyles in urban areas. By raising awareness about the connection between diet, waste, and environmental impact, the project seeks to drive positive changes in behavior and policy.

Tune in to Bonsoir l’Île-de-France on March 11, 2024 at 6:42 PM to learn more about the “Égouts” project and its implications for public health and sustainability.
