25 years after the first opus, Space Jam is preparing to make its big comeback on our screens. The film, which combined live action and animation is given a modern reinterpretation, with Lebron James in the lead role. Here is the first trailer.
It is still today one of the classics that you must have seen, if you are passionate about the orange balloon and cartoons. Space Jam, released in 1996 at the cinema, offers a sequel with LeBron James in the main role. The NBA star is featured in Space Jam : A New Legacy. As in the first film with Michael Jordan, the Looney Tunes rub shoulders with real characters and compete on a virtual floor. But traditional animation has been replaced by 3D techniques to stick to our time. It remains to be seen whether the recipe will work. While his son has been kidnapped by a strange artificial intelligence, the world-famous player has only one option to save him. He must face the AI Goons in a high-profile basketball game.
The cast of this Warner Bros. production includes Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2), Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek Discovery) or Cedric Joe (Modern Family). The production will be provided by Malcolm D. Lee, to whom we owe in particular Scary Movie 5. In production, we will find Justin Lin (Star Trek: Without Limits), Maverick Carter (Self Made : Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J Walker) and finally Ryan Coogler (Black Panther).
