Paris 2024: A Vendée SME Delivers Athletes’ Bathrooms

Baudet, a company based in Mouchamps in the Vendée region, is proud to have delivered 400 prefabricated bathrooms for the Olympic village in Saint-Denis. This project required adjustments for taller entrances and ceiling heights to accommodate athletes of all sizes. Additionally, some of the bathrooms will be dismantled and repurposed after the Olympics, as housing units will be converted into offices.

“It’s a source of pride for everyone, and we hope to see our bathrooms on TV in news reports!” said Laurent Roué, Baudet’s sales director.

Other local businesses in Vendée, such as Louineau carpentry in Luçon and Piveteau in Essarts en Bocage, also contributed to the construction of the Olympic village. The entrances of the bathrooms were specifically enlarged for the athletes.

Aurore Belaud, Baudet’s communication manager, expressed, “It’s a huge source of pride for us. These are great bathrooms, and it’s a beautiful project. Everyone worked with enthusiasm, and it showcases our company in a positive light.”
