Netflix Cracks Down on Account Sharing in Germany and Austria

Netflix is now taking action against account sharing in Germany and Austria

Netflix is cracking down on account sharing in Germany and Austria, having already done so in southern European countries and the US. The streaming service is emailing its customers in Germany to inform them about the stricter procedure and urging them to opt for the additional member option, which allows users to share their accounts with people living outside their household for a fee of €5 ($6) per month. A household is defined as an internet connection, with the owner of the account paying for the additional member’s profile and password.
