Before the official opening of the winter transfer window, PSG would have already finalized two transfers. Indeed, it is Gabriel Moscardo and Lucas Beraldo who will join Luis Enrique’s squad for the second half of the season. While PSG would have spent around 40M€ in total to recruit the two young Brazilians, this investment would apparently be worth it.
Very discreet during previous winter transfer windows, PSG will be active this time around. Two arrivals have already been finalized with Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo from Sao Paulo and Corinthians. This has prompted reactions from former Brazilians in Ligue 1. “These are two very good recruits. I think they will establish themselves in Paris. They are young, ambitious, talented,” said Alex Dias, a former PSG player, to L’Equipe. Meanwhile, José Aloisio said, “They will represent the tradition of Brazilians at PSG very well. He comes out with the ball at his feet, he is good physically… He’s in his second season and he’s already ready to establish himself at PSG”.
“Bought from Corinthians, Gabriel Moscardo, 18, will provide an additional solution for Luis Enrique in PSG’s midfield. And regarding the Brazilian star, Grafite confessed: “Of course he will have to adapt. But his energy, dynamism, and ability to go forward can very well help PSG. He reminds me of Verratti at the beginning of his career. He too was very young (19 years old) when he arrived, right?”
