LG Introduces the Gram Superslim 15.6-Inch Notebook Under 1KG

Gram Superslim: LG's 15.6-inch notebook doesn't weigh a whole kilogram

LG has introduced its Gram Superslim in Germany, expanding its notebook series. Unlike recent trends, this model has a 15.6-inch OLED display in 16:9 format with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels at 60 Hertz. Although the display offers limited options, it covers the DCI-P3 color space and can shine up to 400 cd/m². The smaller size allows it to weigh just 990 grams and stand at a height of 12.6 mm at the thickest point when folded.

LG offers a Gram Superslim with an Intel Core i7 processor at €1699, with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD which has a PCI Express 4.0 connection. Additional features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 4 including Power Delivery and DisplayPort mode.

Although it may not offer the latest display trends, the Gram Superslim still manages to stand out. This model represents a desirable choice for those who value a lightweight and sleek design, along with a 15.6-inch OLED display. The Gram Superslim’s release in Germany is a strong indication that LG is continuing to expand its notebook series.

Catering to varying preferences, LG has released two versions of its big brother, the LG Gram 16. There is an IPS version that displays 2560 × 1600 pixels and weighs 1.2 kg, and another version that displays 3200 × 2000 pixels with an OLED screen, weighing 1.25 kg.

Overall, LG’s Gram Superslim is a compelling option for those who want a laptop that offers impressive portability without compromising on its features. The inclusion of Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and an OLED display with DCI-P3 color space support signify that LG continues to innovate in the notebook market. While some users may prefer higher-resolution displays, the Gram Superslim’s weight and sleek design make it a prime choice for those on the go.
