Former Tennis Star Carina Witthöft Announces Pregnancy
Carina Witthöft, a former German tennis sensation, has announced that she is expecting her first child. The 28-year old athlete, who retired from professional sports in 2019, posted a black and white image of herself on Instagram, in which she can be seen wearing a short white top with her unbuttoned jeans while placing her hand on her slightly arched stomach.
The caption in the picture says, “My heart is full of love. My belly too. Our little lion is on the way.” The signature reveals that Witthöft is already in the 17th week of pregnancy. The announcement has garnered 3,500 likes and numerous comments from fans and well-wishers.
Witthöft was one of the most successful tennis players in Germany, winning eleven ITF and one WTA title before retiring in 2019. She intended to make a comeback in 2020 but had to cancel it at the eleventh hour.
Besides her tennis career, Witthöft is an influencer and has a substantial following on social media. In addition to the black and white picture, she posted two more color photographs of herself in the Instagram gallery. The first one depicts Witthöft laughing, and the second one is a close-up of her stomach, with her partner Spencer Werner’s hand on it.
