Gambler Dominik Szoboszlai Takes Leipzigers to Victory with Bold Penalty Move in Hungary Game

RB Leipzig: Dominik Szoboszlai gambles on a penalty in the Hungary game

Curious scene during Hungary’s test match against Estonia on Thursday involving Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai (22). As both he and teammate Roland Sallai (25/SC Freiburg) wanted to take a penalty, they decided to solve the conflict by playing rock-paper-scissors like children! Szoboszlai explained on Instagram that the game wasn’t about ego and that he wanted to act as a team player.

After the Bundesliga pros argued over who was going to take the penalty in the 70th minute, Sallai ended up winning, but unfortunately missed the shot. This resulted in Estonia goalkeeper Karl Jakob Hein (20/Arsenal) saving the shot, which didn’t please coach Marco Rossi (58) at all. Rossi stated that there should be a designated number one shooter and they learned from their mistake.

Szoboszlai and the Hungarian national team will need to perform differently at the start of the European Championship qualifiers on Monday (8.45 p.m.). In other soccer news, there has been a major development in the Bundesliga as record champion Bayern Munich has fired their coach Nagelsmann.
