Great news for photography, travel and outdoor enthusiasts as Photo+Adventure 2023 is set to take place on May 13th and 14th at the Landscape Park Duisburg. The event, now in its eighth edition, has a “touch and try” theme and is expected to attract over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest trends and products in the industry, including big names such as Canon, Fujifilm, and Sony.
In addition to the trade fair, there will be a variety of workshops, seminars, and photo walks hosted by renowned photographers and artists, such as Maike Jarsetz, Ulla Lohmann, and Bastian Werner. Participants have the chance to take advantage of the Rusty industrial ruins and the park’s green areas as a picturesque backdrop for their photos.
There will also be photo exhibitions and a presentation of the top 25 photos from the P+A photo competition that captivates audiences every year. With the disused furnace plant and extensive green areas, Duisburg Landscape Park offers numerous exciting photography opportunities for both day and night shoots. For those looking for more than just exhibitions and workshops, the program includes a “Viva Brasil Dance Show” and a colorful soap bubble show that adds a touch of nostalgia to the event. For night owls, the organizers have scheduled hourly-changing lighting and light compositions that promise to be as stunning as the day time shoots.
Those who register in advance have the opportunity to participate in a free Check & Clean offered by some camera manufacturers. C’t photography will be represented with a personal stand that allows guests to engage with the editors in-person.
Pre-registration is necessary to attend, and day tickets are available for €12. If you’re looking to gain free entry to the festival, 20 sets of 2-day tickets are up for grabs. Raffle entries must be submitted by April 30th, and the winners will receive access to the trade fair, the lecture hall, and outdoor areas.
