Beyoncé is set to perform in Germany for three concerts in June, and expectations are high for the superstar’s backstage area. As revealed recently, Beyoncé has a few specific demands that must be met before taking to the stage, and I was lucky enough to gain an insight into these requirements.
Firstly, the lighting in her dressing room must be kept to a maximum of 40 watts, in order to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Additionally, 20-centimetre candles, white and unscented, must be provided. For her comfort, Beyoncé has requested a fully furnished room with a sofa, upholstered chairs, a bed, a yoga mat, an aquarium filled with colorful fish, and a pinball machine for Jay-Z.
Food and drinks are also a major part of Beyoncé’s backstage needs. She specifically requires vegan sushi, Milka and marzipan, chilled champagne, and Evian water. In terms of room temperature, she prefers it to be 22 degrees Celsius before the show, and between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius after the performance, all to ensure that her voice is in peak condition.
Despite these demands, the main focus for Beyoncé is always ensuring she puts on the best possible performance for her fans. She recently made history by breaking the record for the highest number of Grammy awards won – an incredible 32 in total.
