During an adventure in the Utah desert with Bear Grylls, Natalie Portman stepped out of her comfort zone.
For the launch of its new season, the show “Running Wild” had a distinguished guest: actress Natalie Portman. The first episode of this seventh season was broadcast on Monday July 25 on American television, on the National Geographic channel. Viewers have thus discovered the animator and adventurer Bear Grylls and the star (almost) left to themselves in the desert of Escalante, Utah.
Climbing a steep rocky mountain alone, filtering muddy water using underwear, monitoring the surrounding links, abseiling in a canyon, flying through the air by helicopter… The 41-year-old actress has seen all the colors! “I’m sure if he tells me to do it, I can do it,” she encourages herself in one of the trailers relayed on social networks. She may show courage and audacity in the cinema, in “Thor: Love and Thunder”, but Natalie Portman is rather cautious outside the film sets. This adventure in the desert was therefore a real challenge for the wife of dancer Benjamin Millepied.

Other celebrities have agreed to put on hiking boots and backpacks to follow Bear Grylls on his intrepid adventures: Ashton Kutcher and Florence Pugh will go to Costa Rica, actor Simu Liu will discover the Canadian mountains, comedian American Anthony Anderson will leave for the Sierra Nevada mountains. While waiting for the arrival of these new episodes in France, the previous seasons can be found on Disney+.
As a reminder, a French adaptation called “In the wild” was hosted by Mike Horn on M6, between 2016 and 2018. Program in which Michael Youn, Matt Pokora, Shy’m or Laure Manaudou took part.
