Johnny Depp victorious and soon back in the cinema… in a French film

The 58-year-old American will play the role of Louis XV in a film dedicated to Jeanne du Barry, the king’s last mistress who will be played by Maïwenn herself. An ambitious costume film that the director of “DNA” has been preparing for many years. According to Satellifacts, filming will begin on July 8, in the Paris region, and in particular at the Château de Versailles.

Louis Garrel, Pierre Richard and Noémie Lvovsky complete this five-star cast, according to the “Allociné” page of the feature film, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
