Johnny’s fans only have a few months to wait before discovering the exhibition event that his widow Laeticia Hallyday is preparing.
Johnny Hallyday fans finally have a glimpse of the exhibition event that has been in preparation for almost two years. To reveal this foretaste, Laeticia Hallyday and her team did not choose the date of June 15 at random: the Taulier would indeed have celebrated his 79th birthday. As she has done since her disappearance in 2017, the rocker’s widow continues to bring her musical legacy to life.
“It’s not a day like any other, it never has been. How many memories, parties, music and love on June 15 to celebrate you. Tears mixed with joy today in a clear sky, a star will shine more than the others in the firmament. It will enlighten the hearts of millions of people at the same time and ours in particular. It will remind us that you are here, with us, for eternity. Happy birthday. I love you forever,” wrote Laeticia Hallyday in the caption of a first Instagram post unveiled on Wednesday. In the process, the mother of Jade and Joy Hallyday (17 and 13 years old) relayed the promotional clip of the new tribute exhibition to Johnny.
Twelve strong experiences that look back over 74 years of an “exceptional life” and this, over 2000 square meters: fans of Le Taulier have something to rejoice about. “Deeply moved and proud to be able to share this magnificent exhibition in tribute to Johnny. With the whole team around me, it is the fruit of two years of work, research and memories that we will soon share with the public. To imagine this exhibition, I drew on everything I learned alongside him, his sense of detail, showmanship, spectacle and his disproportionate ambition for his audience. Through this journey through time, thanks to a multi-sensory and emotional experience, everyone will be able to rediscover or discover the man that Johnny was by combining the spectacular and the intimate,” she explained. A traveling exhibition which will be inaugurated by the end of the year in Brussels and which will arrive in Paris at the beginning of 2024.

Four years after the death of her husband, Laeticia Hallyday seems to have finally found a balance. The 47-year-old widow honors Johnny’s memory as she moves forward. It’s been almost two years since she found love in the arms of comedian and director Jalil Lespert. The latter also shares his daily life with his daughters in Los Angeles.
At the beginning of the year, she finally sold her dear house in Marnes-la-Coquette, where Johnny ended his life. Some of the collectibles that remained there should also find their place in the exhibition that is being prepared.
