Electronic Arts will develop a mobile game based on Middle-earth, The Lord of The Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth

The Californian company Electronic Artsannounced through a statement its partnership with Middle-earth Enterprises, a division of The Saul Zaentz Company. From this will be born a new free video game for mobile devices, The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth a role-playing game that will be based on the fantasy and adventures of the books of J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the rings.

All fans, as well as new audiences, will be able to immerse themselves in this new strategic competitive-social experience. This delivery will be the new IP within the portfolio of mobile games of EA.

In this game, players will battle through iconic stories from Tolkien’s world, taking on the great evils of Middle-earth.

Let’s remember that Electronic Arts already has a history with the Tolkien universe thanks to the titles it has previously released for both PC and consoles.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is expected to have limited regional beta testing this summer.
