Ed Sheeran tests positive for covid-19 within days of releasing his new album

“So I will not be able to fulfill my commitments in person, at the moment, and I will do all the interviews that I can and performances planned from home,” added the 30-year-old singer, who resides in Suffolk, in the east of England.

His next album, “=”, will be released on Friday, October 29, so the musician had several performances and interviews scheduled.

Ed Sheeran performed on October 17 in London at the Eartshot Awards for Climate, hosted by Prince William.

The singer had taken a break after the birth of his daughter, in the summer of 2020.

The United Kingdom, one of the European countries hardest hit by the pandemic, with some 140,000 deaths, currently has one of the highest rates of infection in the world.
