London: Russian precision bombs may be running out

The UK estimates that Russia’s stockpiles of precision munitions may be largely depleted as the war in Ukraine drags on longer than the Kremlin expected, according to the latest British intelligence report.

At the beginning of its invasion of Ukraine, Russia publicly promoted its ability to carry out attacks and limit collateral damage, and even claimed that Ukrainian cities would be safe from bombing, highlights the part provided this Monday (05.09.2022) by the British Ministry of Defence.

However, as the conflict drags on, precision munitions are likely to have run out, forcing the use of readily available munitions that are less accurate and easier to intercept, the report added.

Russia has subjected the towns and cities of Ukraine to intense and indiscriminate bombardment with little or no regard for civilian casualties, the report stresses. (EFE)
