An entrepreneur since childhood: 8-year-old boy sells his grandmother’s poetry in a square

An enterprise that began as a game selling at the door of his house, Juan Ignacio is now well known in Pergamino, Buenos Aires, for spreading his grandmother’s poems so that people buy them and give them to other people. Their history turned viral in social networks and is an example for many who are trapped in their bubble.

Juan Ignacio is an 8-year-old Argentine boy who should be playing with others his age or living new experiences; however, the little boy sells his grandmother’s poetry in a plaza in Pergamino, where everyone knows him.

According to the portal TN and La Gente, a medium that was able to learn about its history, Juan Ignacio’s entrepreneurship began as a game at the door of his house, located on the street Carpani Costa. The minor is a buddy of his grandmother Cristina, that’s why he sells his poetry.

Like any ‘business’, the minor used the materials that were within his reach inside his house – we are referring to a table, pennants, blackboard and some cardboard boxes – and began to sell the poems, which are worth 10 pesos Argentine (0.086 dollars) each.

After the good response from customers, the young man now goes out to sell every weekend in Parque Belgrano, accompanied by his mother and father, as specified by TN and La Gente. Does it just do that? Of course not. Juan Ignacio is a lover of reading and, in addition, he practices Taekwondo.

For two weeks, Juan Ignacio has been selling his grandmother’s poems called “Letters and Confessions.” Natalia, the child’s mother, revealed that they support him in his entrepreneurship so that he is not locked up at home and, mainly, learns the value of work.

During the week, the minor makes a photocopy of the book and keeps it that way so that on weekends he goes out to sell at Parque Belgrano. His story has moved thousands of people and is a trend in Argentina.
