Meta will start paying for original content on its Facebook Reels

In Meta they know that they have a very useful tool with which to attract the attention of all the content creators on the Internet. It has one of the most attractive platforms for users when it comes to broadcasting direct and all thanks to the help of Facebook Gaming. But the company wants there to be exclusive content for the platform elsewhere and for this it could start paying creators who make content for Facebook Reels.

Only on Facebook Reels

Meta is clear that the multimedia future is in the vertical format. This has been taught by TikTok given its great fame, and the firm has also introduced it in its different applications. Instagram was the first to install Reels as part of its content offering, but it didn’t take long for it to add the Reels option to Facebook as well. But unfortunately for Mark Zuckerberg’s firm, which was once its main source of business, is slowly becoming outdated and is looking for ways to attract the youngest in some way.

It may be included in this strategy the act of paying for original content on Facebook Reels. In a company post you can read that these payments could mean that some of those creators start to get some other benefit. This feature will first be available to a secret number of users to get it up and running as soon as possible.

New challenges on the way

Another thing Meta wants to do to encourage the use of original content in Facebook Reels is Challenges. From what the firm says, you could earn up to a total of $4,000 a month by meeting different goals if you reach them all. It is a difficult task since the goals include prizes such as 20 dollars when at least five Reels reach 100 reproductions each.

This in turn will unlock other milestones such as $100 when 20 Reels reach 500 views each. There are probably more and different ones that help creators to get more money, but it is already a way for the firm to attract more users to the platform to see the content of their favorite creators.
