What premieres to watch this week on Netflix, Movistar +, HBO Max, Disney +: Elite returns

Trying to recover from the madness of releases last weekend -almost a hundred concentrated in just three days-, we begin the first week of April itself, and also the one that precedes Easter 2022. Seven days full of releases and some of the most anticipated of the month -and of the year-, as one of the titles that Netflix brings: Elite.

elite season 5 It will supposedly continue where the fourth season left off, beginning its own mystery -it is unknown if the ones that were left out there will be solved or not, given the exit and entry of characters: Enter the actors Valentina Zenere and André Lamoglia and Itzan Escamilla and Omar leave Ayuso, Samuel and Omar.

Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story: hard documentary with no less hard testimonies that tell how the media star Jimmy Savile conquered a country with his eccentricity and philanthropy, until the accusations of sexual abuse against him revealed a dark facet hitherto unknown

On HBO Max we have the return of maestro Michael Mann to television -Heat, Ali, The Last of the Mohicans, The Dilemma, Miami Vice- with TOKYO VICE, the series created by the screenwriter of ‘Oslo’. And in the cinema section, Criminal Saints (April 5), the film that serves as a prequel to the story of ‘The Sopranos.

On Amazon Prime Video Laura Pausini – nice to meet you, What would have happened if Laura hadn’t won the Sanremo Music Festival that night in 1993? For the first time, the queen of Italian pop steps in front of the cameras of a feature film and shows her true soul to the audience through never-before-seen moments from her private and professional life. To tell her story, Laura retraces her steps, from childhood, through all the stages of her extraordinary career and her everyday life.

In the fourth season of Mothers. Love and life we have more personal stories and medical cases contextualized in a new environment and with new characters. A new perspective of Los Arcos Hospital based on the important changes that occurred during the third season in the professional and vital course of Dr. Olivia Zavala (Aida Folch). These will be the plot axes of a fourth season that will maintain the emotional tone of the series, in addition to incorporating numerous new features in the cast and plots.

On Disney+ we have several series, including Cloak and Fistl, a series with Marvel characters that premiered a few years ago and was canceled after its second season. Disney + continues to pick up the Marvel series not produced by her and premiere them. And this week you can watch the only two seasons of Cloak & Dagger.

And in Filmin an adaptation of a story by Murakami that has won this year the Oscar for Best Foreign Film: “Drive My Car” is one of the great films of the year and confirms its director, Ryusuke Hamaguchi (“Asako I & II”), as one of the most important international filmmakers of the moment. A drama of eternal rest about the power of words and silences.

Directed by Albert Dupontel (‘See you up there’), this tragicomedy uses black humor to paint a portrait of today’s society, exploring issues as disparate as bureaucracy, lack of empathy, neglect of older workers or police violence.
