Twitter will let you put a co-author on your tweets

Twitter makes things clear on its platform: if you write a message, you are the author and responsible. This has been the case since the beginning, and if you are not satisfied you can always delete the message. But there is a feature that the company has in its roadmap that is specifically to make tweets with two authors.

Tweets with co-authors coming soon on Twitter

Every time you post a message on Twitter, you do so personally and voluntarily. Only you are the only one who answers for it unless you write clearly and mention the other person involved in the matter that concerns you. But this may not be clear to more than one, or even ask for an explanation of why include a second person in a tweet.

On Twitter they believe in communication and have shown it on different occasions, especially when they doubled the number of corresponding characters in the messages. Of course, there are many tools beyond direct messages and threads for this and all of them are going to add the collaborative tweets.

At the moment it is a function in the testing phase but, as you can see in the tweet that accompanies this article, it is already being tested on some users. The best thing about it is that it is very clear who are those who collaborate in the same message.

However, there are a number of requirements for the message to be collaborative. And it is that you can write a text and then invite one of the public accounts to be co-authors. On the other hand, the other person must accept the invitationso if you are going to invite another person to write a message you may be disappointed if they do not agree with what you put.

But let’s focus on the positive case, and that is that if the invitation is accepted, the tweet will appear in both people’s accounts. Followers will see a message at the top of the tweet that says who the co-author of that message is, so everyone can see who the other person mentioned is.

At the moment it is a mystery to know when this function will reach the hands of users, so we will have to be attentive to the movements of the company itself
