VIDEO – Extinction Rebellion activists disrupt Vuitton Fashion Week show

Activists from the Extinction Rebellion movement broke into the Louis Vuitton parade at the Louvre on Tuesday. The goal? Denounce the impact of the fashion industry on climate change, on the last day of Paris Fashion week. “Overconsumption=extinction” (overconsumption = extinction), could we read on a poster unrolled by a young woman, expelled by the security service while the models continued to parade around her.

Thirty activists from Extinction Rebellion are behind this action, two of whom were arrested, according to their press release. Formed in the UK in 2018, this movement regularly uses civil disobedience to highlight government inaction on climate change.
