Ukrainian president thanks the Cambridges for their support, but ignores the Sussexes

This is how the dukes of cambridge expressed their support for the people of Ukraine through social networks, something that has not gone unnoticed by the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife, Olena. However, the president ignored the message of support issued by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry y Meghan.

At the NAACP awards ceremony, the dukes reiterated their support for Ukraine.

Maybe it has to do with the prince Harry y Meghan Markle are no longer formal members of the royal family, or that with the Cambridge they did manage to create a bond with the Ukrainian presidential couple in October 2020, when they were received in the Throne Room of the Buckingham Palace in what would be the first real event to take place there in six months, due to the pandemic.

“In October 2020, we had the privilege of meeting President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for the future of Ukraine. Today we stand with the President and all the people of Ukraine as they bravely fight for that future.”, the dukes wrote and signed it with the acronym “W & C”, which usually means that the message was written by them and not by their communication team.

For its part, prince harry and meghan markle they also expressed themselves in this regard on the site of its foundation, Archewell. “We are with the people of Ukraine. Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and everyone at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine in this violation of international and humanitarian law and invite the global community and its leaders to do the same,” said the couple, who lives currently in Santa Barbara, California.

Zelensky did not write anything about the message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, published on the page of his foundation, Archewell.

And although from the awards NAACP Image Awardswhere they received an award for their social work, the Sussexes reiterated their support for the European country, only the message from the Cambridges found an echo.
