How to turn on dark mode in Slack

For those who don’t know it, Slack is an instant messaging platform based on the Cloud, and as such it has applications for Android mobiles, iOS, version for macOS, Linux, Windows and even web version in browsers. Ideal for business environments, the platform allows you to join a Work Group that can be divided into one or more channels.

Widely used in offices, newsrooms and work environments, Slack made headlines just yesterday due to a drop in services in the early afternoon, although it later recovered and functioned normally after the afternoon. And like many applications and services, it also has a ‘Dark Mode’ or dark mode.

Dark mode serves two main purposes: First, it is an aid to the visual health of the user, since it reduces the level of brightness and light that you are exposed to every time you look at the mobile. Second, it is an aid to the autonomy of the terminal, since when normal mode is activated, there are thousands of pixels that are active, while with dark mode several of these will be off or their brightness will be reduced, which will affect our battery and allow us to extend it even more.
