Zelensky: “Ukraine has sent a lawsuit against Russia to the UN International Court of Justice”

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky Indian this Sunday that Ukraine has sent a lawsuit against Russia to the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.

“We request an urgent decision ordering Russia to cease military activity now and we expect the trials to begin next week,” the president added.

This Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced “a special military operation to defend Donbass.” After the start of the operation, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Japan announced economic sanctions against Russia. Likewise, several countries decided to close their airspace to Russian airlines, and it was agreed to disconnect some of the country’s banks from the SWIFT interbank system.
