Ten years ago, Bharat Bhushan was one of the first farmers to convert after losing his maize crops several times. He said he was skeptical at first. He started with less than a hectare of lavender. Many farmers followed him. Today, there are several hundred of them producing this plant, multiplying their income by four or even six.
