Jean-Paul Belmondo, the man of the theater

In 1987, Jean-Paul Belmondo signed with “Kean”. And under the direction of Robert Hossein, he made a triumphant return to the stage. He took a revenge after his first missed date with the theater. Indeed, this is where he started, at the conservatory where he met his band. The gang in Bébel, including Jean-Pierre Marielle and Robert Hirsch. He comes out priceless, bruised, but his friends carry him in triumph. And a few years later, he even shared the stage with Jean Marais.

At the Theater, he will try several failures before being caught by the cinema which will make him a star. After the success of “Kean”, he returned to his first love and even offered himself the Théâtre des Variétés. With “Cyrano de Bergerac”, he experiences a new triumph. Jean-Paul Belmondo fills the rooms and charms his partners. It remains a model, even today, for the students of the conservatory. “Frédérick or the boulevard du crime” will be his last role. Victim of discomfort on stage, he stopped appearing on the stage in 2000.
