Death of Naya Rivera: the actors of “Glee” pay tribute to him for his birthday

This Wednesday, January 12, 2021, Naya Rivera should have celebrated her 35th birthday. Her disappearance in July 2020 after drowning while taking a boat trip on Lake Piru in California with her 4-year-old son had left Hollywood in shock. A year and a half after the tragedy, this anniversary was therefore an opportunity for many of his former colleagues from the “Glee” series to show that they had not forgotten him on this very special day.

In in the Instagram story, Heather Morris, who played Brittany Pierce in the series, posted a personal Polaraïd where she appears with Naya Rivera. She writes, “Happy Birthday Nay. I thought about keeping this private and only for myself, but this is one of the only personal photos I have of us. ”

Kevin McHale, aka Artie Abrams, shared a snapshot of Naya Rivera on one of her birthdays, along with the caption: “Happy birthday my little bee. I miss you every day. “

Jenna Ushkowitz, who played Tina Chang-Cohen, also made a point of greeting her former filmmate by sharing a selfie, taken with the actress, in in the Instagram story.

Nothing on the other hand on the side of Lea Michele. The one who played Rachel Berry had faced, in 2020, accusations of racism and harassment on the set by some of her former partners. Claims confirmed by Heather Morris: “It was something very secret on set and now you see all these people come out of the silence and you learn that all these big names have been disrespectful and mistreated a lot of people. We absolutely could have gone to the Fox executives and told them what we thought of the situation, but nobody did. I think a lot of people got scared, ”the actress said in a podcast.
