Finally, the fourth part of “Cobra Kai”Arrived on Netflix to reveal which dojo will stay in All Valley and who will have to forget karate forever. Season 4 of the series showed us how was the process of the alliance between Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate to defeat John Kreese and Terry Silver, the founders of Cobra Kai. And of course, the great winner.

However, something that caught the attention of the fourth season of Cobra Kai was that one of its chapters was dedicated to a person. Specifically, episode 7 of the Netflix series showed at the end an In Memoriam dedicated to a person named Albert Omstead.

After that, the dedication of the fiction unleashed curiosity in many fans to know who it was. It is worth saying that every time some appear In Memorial on the screen, they indicate that the person (or persons, if applicable) has died. Thus, the name of Albert Omsted was shown next to his year in which he was born and the day he died: 1982 and 2021, respectively. But who is this person and why was he important to “Cobra Kai”? Coming up next, we tell you.

Robert Garrison

In the second season of “Cobra Kai”, the actor who played Tommy, one of Johnny Lawrence’s friends in “Karate Kid” has a brief performance that will be remembered forever. The recordings were made at the beginning of 2019, a few months before his death, so he did not see his return to history after so many years.

Pat Morita

While Par Morita appears as souvenirs in “Cobra Kai”, Mr. Miyagi has been the most important character in the “Karate Kid” franchise. His presence in the Netflix series is essential for its development. The beloved actor passed away in 2005.

With calendar in hand of the launches of “Cobra Kai” Throughout its four seasons, we calculated the release date of installment five. Although season 1 premiered on May 2, 2018, while season 2 arrived on April 24, 2019, everything suggested that it was going to follow that range, but after moving from YouTube to Netflix and the arrival of the pandemic there were some significant delays. Thus, the third installment was released on January 1, 2021 and the fourth on December 31, 2021.

Taking those dates as a reference, everything would make suppose that “Cobra Kai 5″ Would premiere in December 2022, but after what was said by the co-creator of the series, Jon Hurwitz, who tweeted that they had already finished filming the fifth season in December 2021, it seems that this will arrive earlier; possibly mid 2022.

Although those are the calculations that we have, it has been shown that the release dates are not predictable, since there is the possibility that Netflix will keep the premiere of the fifth installment in December 2022, but nothing prevents us from dreaming that its launch arrives the next six months.

After Cobra Kai became the great champion, Tori discovered that there was a trap because Terry paid one of the judges to be favored and thus confirm the extension of his dojo while Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate must close forever. Thus, there was a great unknown.

In theory, the fifth season of this Netflix series should open with the resolution of that mystery that was pending in the previous installment. Will Tori accuse the trap and put her dreams aside?

“Cobra Kai” It has a lot of story to tell and probably won’t end after season four, at least not if its creators have something to say about it. However, they already have an ending to the series they are building towards.

In an interview with Collider, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg y Josh Heald They talked about “Cobra Kai” and revealed that they already know how the story will end, but are still not sure how long it will take to get there.

“We’ve always had a fixed ending, as far as where the story goes, but we’ve said from the beginning that we weren’t sure exactly how many seasons it would take to get there.”, He explained Hurwitz.

“We found that even in season 1, when we were in the writing room, we had so many ideas that they just didn’t fit in those five hours of the first season, so they ended up being pushed into the next. There are ideas that we talked about at the beginning of the show, that appeared in season 3 or will appear in season 4. And then there are ideas that just fall by the wayside. There is no added pressure to lengthen the series. We’re still having a great time doing it. There is still much more story to tell, in our minds “, he pointed.

“We just finished filming season 4 and we have a lot more things to do in the future. Therefore, we cannot tell you exactly how many seasons we are going to have, but we know that we are going into each season with enthusiasm and confidence. Eventually, we’ll talk to our friends at Sony and Netflix and say, “We think this is probably the time we should end.”, and hopefully they will give us that moment to do it. We’ll see, “he added.

For its part, Josh Heald, another of the creators of the series, said that in season 4 they made several arrangements after the spectacular ending of the previous installment.

“The big story to tell is, how is that going to go? Will there be growing pains? How will they be? Will they be able to surpass and surpass the ax to grind that both had? And will they be able to do it before the tournament arrives? So, there are many new keys to throw at them and many old grudges to repeat, and everything is happening in a small shared space “he explained.

Based on the success that “Cobra Kai”Has had since moving to Netflix, it is very likely that the program will not be canceled in the short term. Hopefully that means the creators will be able to tell the full story as they intended.

After graduating from school, losing the karate championship, and getting on bad terms with Kreese, Johnny left Cobra Kai and had no further contact with his former sensei, therefore he did not meet Silver, who appeared for the first time. in “Karate Kid III”.

Also, John and Terry’s first on-screen meeting gives the impression that they haven’t seen each other for a long time, probably since they decided to found their dojo and Silver left the project to take over his family’s businesses.

Johnny did not reestablish his connection with Cobra Kai until he decided to reopen the dojo in a shopping mall in the first season of the series Netflix, and was not aware of what happened in the 1985 tournament.

For this reason, in the first installment of “Cobra KaiWhen the tournament committee mentioned Terry’s actions in 1985 after Johnny tried to lift the ban on his dojo, Lawrence simply said that he had never heard of that person.

Despite the efforts of the Eagle Fang Karate students, the majority are out of the competition and only Miguel advances to the semifinals, where he faces Hawk. A pain in the back leaves Miguel out of the tournament and Eli Moskowitz advances to the final, where he faces Robby.

After a draw, their combat is defined in sudden death, and although they both know both styles of karate, Hawk becomes the winner thanks to Daniel allowing him to use what he learned with Johnny. Also, Robby is a bit distracting by not wanting to be a bad example for Kenny.

The past and rivalries are not forgotten.
