All eyes were on Kate Middleton at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Thursday, November 18. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a notable appearance at the Royal Variety Performance. It was the sparkling return of the royal couple who had already caused a sensation on the red carpet for the premiere of the James Bond film, “No Time To Die”, on September 18th.
Kate Middleton’s family were present
Kate Middleton appeared in a gorgeous, long, sparkling green dress by Jenny Packman. Dressed in glamorous curls pulled back to the side, the Duchess also wore gold earrings from London-based jewelry brand Missoma as well as a black clutch. As at the Earthshot Award ceremony, Kate Middleton opted for an outfit she had already worn. During a trip to Pakistan, in 2019, the Duchess had, in fact, been seen in this same dress. Her husband, Prince William, for his part, was very elegant in a blue velvet tuxedo over a white shirt and embellished with a black bow tie.
The royal couple were then joined by the parents of Kate Middleton, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her brother, James who married Alizée Thevenet in September. The Royal Variety Performance of which Elisabeth II is the godmother is organized every year for the benefit of the Royal Variety Charity. The event raises funds to help hundreds of struggling artists across the UK. Artists in attendance included Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart, James Blunt and actors from Moulin Rouge, Matilda, the musical and Cirque du Soleil.
Members of the Royal Family take turns attending the show. Prince William and Kate Middleton were the last couple to attend in 2019. The Duchess had walked the red carpet in a beautiful black lace dress, signed Alexander McQueen. The couple first attended the event in 2014 and then returned three years later in 2017.
