The 2021 Renaudot Prize is awarded to Amélie Nothomb for her book “Premier sang”

In this novel, published like the previous ones by Albin Michel, Amélie Nothomb writes the fictitious memories of her father who died in 2020. In which we discover an eccentric family, and rediscover a tragic episode in the history of the former Zaire through this Belgian diplomat. “I will not have the Goncourt. They consider me to be a successful author and that I don’t need one, and that can defend itself“, she said to the Parisian in September.
