Jimmy Leland Walls, age 69 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 7:05 p.m. on July 3, 2008 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home.
He was born to the late Leland and Opal Jones Walls on September 20, 1938 in Chrisman, Illinois.
He married Kay Hamlin Landrum Walls on August 30, 1995 in Henderson, Kentucky, she survives.
Mr. Walls is also survived by sons Wayne Walls of Branch, Michigan and Andrew Walls of Paris, Illinois, daughter Fiona Kapolivic of Hattisburg, Mississippi, step-daughters Cheryl Clark and Joan Landrum of Paris, Illinois and Lisa Weilhammer of Indianapolis, Indiana, step-sons Curtis Landrum of Columbia, Tennessee and Chad Landrum of Paris, Illinois.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
He was the Supervisor of Assessments in Danville, Illinois, Owned a Marathon Station in Tilton, was a Police Officer in Tilton, Illinois, worked at DuPont in Marseilles, Illinois, at Blaw Knox in Mattoon, Illinois, and was a land lord in his later years in Paris, Illinois. He was a member of Bell Ridge Christian Church. He served as an Airman 2nd Class in the United States Air Force from January 9, 1957 to June 8, 1961. He was a member of the American Legion Post 211, 32nd Lodge Marseilles, and the Danville Consistory.
