Paris is a new home to the family owned and operated store O’Reilly Auto Parts.

The store, located at 503 E. Jasper, will open for business at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

O’Reilly Auto Parts was founded in November of 1957 in Springfield, Mo. The chain has grown to include 32,000 stores nation wide.

The store offers all types of auto parts with 50 percent being wholesale and 50 percent being retail.

Any part not available in the store can be ordered, and usually arrive the next day.

The number one goal of O’Reilly Auto Parts is customer service.

All employees at the Paris store are local. No outside workers were brought in to run the new store. Also, all employees are “professional parts people,” according to store manager Kirby Clawson.

Clawson, who has lived in Paris for 28 years, has 27 years of experience in the auto parts industry. He previously worked at the former Wolfe’s Auto Parts in Paris and Carquest.

The Paris store is 6,300 square feet packed wall-to-wall with a variety of auto parts, oils and accessories.

Store hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

" after the close of the CSK buyout O'Reilly will have 3200 stores not 32,000. "
